Hi, friends!
My name is Ace Reid Giannonatti, and I’m the proud owner of AceReid Photography. I owe so much of this journey to my wife, Katherine, whose support and belief in me have helped shape both my life and my work. I have always had a natural instinct for capturing the essence of the people I photograph, and over time, I have continued to grow and refine that gift. Photography has been a passion for as long as I can remember. I love being able to freeze meaningful moments in time and create lasting memories for my clients. While I specialize in portrait photography, I also enjoy landscape and event work. No matter what I am photographing, my goal is always to tell a genuine story through my lens.
One thing that sets me apart as a photographer is my ability to truly connect with my clients. I believe the most meaningful images are created through collaboration between the photographer and the person in front of the camera. Because of this, I always take the time to get to know my clients and understand their vision for each session.
My love for photography began in childhood, growing up in a small town in South Dakota, where photography was an important part of my family life. My mom worked as a photographer for many years, and I was fortunate to spend time learning alongside her. Those shared experiences helped shape both my technical skills and my deep appreciation for storytelling through images. What began as a family connection and creative curiosity gradually became a lifelong passion that I now have the privilege of sharing with others.
In 2021, Katherine and I met, fell in love, and established AceReid Photography, turning a shared creative vision into something deeply meaningful. We were married in 2023, building not only a business together but a life grounded in care, connection, and family. Alongside our work, we began fostering children, opening our home to provide stability, love, and encouragement during important seasons of their lives.
Our perspective was also profoundly shaped by the stillbirth of our daughter, Elodie. Walking through that loss changed the way I understand memory, presence, and the importance of preserving moments that might otherwise feel fleeting. It deepened my empathy and strengthened my commitment to creating photographs that honor people’s stories with authenticity and tenderness. This experience continues to influence how I approach every session and every client relationship.
Based in North Dakota, AceReid Photography serves individuals and families who want to capture life’s meaningful milestones through an artistic and thoughtful lens. I strive to help clients feel comfortable, confident, and truly seen in front of the camera, resulting in images that are both beautiful and genuine. Providing high-quality, personalized service remains at the heart of everything we do.
When I am not behind the camera or working my 9-to-5, I enjoy exploring new places, spending time with family, and finding inspiration in everyday moments. It is a true privilege to do work that I love and to share that passion with the people and communities around me.
